Mad River Distillers ready to drink canned cocktails were made to be enjoyed outdoors, in the natural beauty of Vermont. To celebrate that, we're running a photo contest for the best photos of our cocktails being enjoyed outside across our state. And because Vermont's seasons are part of what makes it special, we'll run this contest every season.

Two winners are chosen each season among eligible submissions, and each receives a $100 cash prize.

How to enter

Submit your photo below or by email to photocontest@madriverdistillers.com With your submission, please include:

  • Your name
  • The location where the photo was taken
  • Your email address or other contact information
  • Confirmation that you are 21 years of age or older
  • Where you heard about the contest

Seasonal deadlines:

  • Summer: September 1
  • Fall: December 1
  • Winter: March 1
  • Spring: June 1

How winners are chosen

Photos are judged on objective, skill-based criteria: composition, creativity, originality, and overall quality, along with how well the photo captures Mad River Distillers canned cocktails enjoyed outdoors in Vermont. Winners are selected by a Mad River Distillers judging panel. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible entries received.

No purchase necessary

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. While no purchase is required, if you did buy the cocktails in your photo, we'd love to hear where you found them.

Your photos

By submitting a photo, you confirm that:

  • You took the photo yourself, and it is wholly original and has not been copied, in whole or in part, from any other work.
  • No other individual or party holds any ownership claim over the image.
  • If people appear in your photo, you have their permission to submit it. Please do not submit photos that include children.

By entering, you grant Mad River Distillers the right to use, reproduce, publish, display, edit, alter, crop, and otherwise modify your submitted photo for advertising, promotional, and marketing purposes in any media, including print, digital, website, and social media, whether or not your photo is selected as a winner. If your photo is chosen, you agree that we may display it along with your name and the photo location.

Photos are best submitted at 1080 pixels wide [e.g., high-resolution horizontal/landscape orientation] so we can use them across our channels.

Eligibility

  • Entrants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Employees and affiliates of Mad River Distillers and our distributor are not eligible.
  • Void where prohibited.
  • Rules may change after each season, check back for eligibility updates.

By participating in this contest, you are acknowledging that you are at least 21 years of age and that no purchase was required.  And while no purchase is necessary to enter, if you did purchase the cocktails in your photo, we would appreciate hearing where you purchased them. No employees or affiliates of Mad River or our distributor are eligible to participate in this contest. 

And we encourage everyone to drink responsibly. Any photos highlighting excess consumption or dangerous or illegal activities will not be consider for a prize.
